Privacy Policy

How Cloud Breach handles your data.

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This policy explains what information Cloud Breach ("we", "us", "the game") collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Cloud Breach game client and this website. By playing Cloud Breach or signing in on this site, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Cloud Breach is an independent game. For any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the game, your account, and moderation:

  • Steam identity — your Steam ID, current persona (display) name, and avatar, provided by Steam when you sign in.
  • Gameplay data — match stats (kills, deaths, hacks), level and XP, loadouts, and your in-game inventory.
  • Moderation data — reports you submit or that are submitted about you, warnings, mutes, and ban status.
  • Account settings — preferences you set, such as whether your inventory is private, and whether you have disabled your account.
  • Technical data — a login token stored in your browser (see "Cookies and local storage"), and basic request logs used to keep the service secure and working.

We do not ask for or store your Steam password. Authentication is handled by Steam; we only receive the identity Steam shares with us.

How we use it

  • To create and run your account, show your profile, and save your progress.
  • To match you into games and display scoreboards, leaderboards, and killfeeds.
  • To operate features like the inventory, badges, and friend/report actions.
  • To enforce our rules — reviewing reports, issuing warnings, mutes, or bans.
  • To keep the service secure and diagnose problems.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your data

  • Other players can see your public profile: persona name, avatar, level, stats, and badges. You can hide your inventory from your public profile in Account → Settings.
  • Moderators can see moderation-relevant data (reports, warnings, ban status) to enforce the rules.
  • Steam / Valve processes your sign-in and, where you use them, Steam features such as the friends overlay. Their handling of your data is governed by Valve's own privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf so the game can run.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. When you sign in, we store a single login token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Clearing your browser storage or signing out removes it.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Moderation records (such as reports and bans) may be kept longer where needed to enforce our rules and keep the community safe.

Your choices and rights

  • Disable your account at any time from Account → Settings. This locks you out until you re-enable it, and keeps your progress.
  • Make your inventory private so it isn't shown on your public profile.
  • Request access or deletion of your data by emailing [email protected]. We may need to keep limited records where required to prevent abuse or ban evasion.

Children

Cloud Breach is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be announced in our community channels.
